App testimonials from the reviews your users already wrote
A mobile app with a few thousand store ratings has more proof than most websites ever show. TestimonialScraper reads your public App Store and Google Play reviews, finds the ten quotes that make someone download and keeps them on your site, linked to your listings.
Store reviews are proof, if you can find the good ones
Store reviews are short, spread over many countries and mixed with bug reports from versions you fixed long ago. Reading them by hand takes hours, and the result is out of date a month later. TestimonialScraper does the reading and keeps the selection current.
- Collects public reviews from the App Store and Google Play in the countries and languages you choose
- Adds Reddit threads, YouTube and X mentions where people talk about your app
- Scores each quote from 0 to 100 and groups quotes by feature, onboarding, reliability or support
- Filters by app version, so reviews about fixed bugs stay out
- Publishes the best quotes in a widget, a wall or an export
Where app testimonials work best
| Place | Quote to use | Filter |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page hero | One short quote about the main outcome | Highest strength score |
| Feature pages | A quote naming that feature | Topic tag for the feature |
| Paywall page on your site | A quote about value or results | Value for money |
| Launch page for a new version | Quotes about the latest release | Current app version |
| Store screenshot copy | Short quotes you can test as captions | Under 20 words |
| Localized sites | Quotes in the language of the page | Country or language |
Every quote keeps the reviewer nickname, the store, the version where the source publishes it and a link to your listing. Nothing is reworded or translated.
Keep the selection current after every release
A strong review from two years ago may praise a screen you have since redesigned. When you ship a new version, filter by that version, approve the best new quotes and retire the old ones with one click. Widgets pick up the change on the next refresh, so your website, your launch page and your store copy all tell the same current story. The Growth plan refreshes daily, which means praise for a release can appear on your site the day after it is posted.
How an app team sets it up
- Add your listings. Paste your App Store reviews widget link and your Google Play reviews widget link.
- Choose countries and languages. Read every storefront or only the markets you sell in.
- Let the register fill. Our review aggregator collects, scores and groups the reviews.
- Create widgets per page. Use topic, version and language filters for each one.
- Approve and publish. New reviews arrive with the refresh of your plan, and you decide what goes live.
Built for app makers
- Founders of consumer and productivity apps who want real user words on the website
- Growth marketers who test quotes in ads, store copy and onboarding screens
- Subscription apps that need proof on the web paywall and pricing page
- Studios and agencies that run sites for several apps, see agencies
Smaller apps usually start on Brand: 1 brand, 4 sources of your choice and 1,000 reviews analyzed per month. Apps with many reviews in many countries choose Growth for 10,000 reviews, all 12+ sources and daily refresh. See the pricing page.
App testimonials questions
Can I use store reviews on my website?
We show public reviews with the reviewer name as published, the store and a link to your listing, and we never reword them. You choose which quotes go live. Our guide on using online reviews as testimonials covers the details.
Do I need my developer accounts?
No. Public reviews are enough to start. Connecting your own developer accounts is optional and adds data that public listings do not show.
Can I show only reviews of the latest version?
Yes. Filter any widget by app version, and hide any single quote with one click.
Do you translate reviews from other countries?
No. Quotes stay in the reviewer's language. Use the language filter to show each language on the matching version of your site.
Will a widget slow down my landing page?
No. The widget loads after your page, is a few kilobytes and serves quotes from a cache.
