Google Play reviews widget for Android app websites
Android users leave reviews on Google Play every day, and a few of them describe your app better than any tagline. TestimonialScraper reads your public Google Play reviews, scores every quote and puts the best ones on your website with the app version, the language and a link to your store listing.
Turn Play Store reviews into website proof
Google Play mixes long, specific praise with one word ratings and questions for support. TestimonialScraper separates them so your website only shows the reviews that help someone decide.
- Collects public reviews of your app from Google Play
- Scores each quote from 0 to 100 for detail, clarity and persuasion
- Groups quotes by topic, such as onboarding, a feature, reliability, battery or support
- Filters by app version, language and rating
- Publishes chosen quotes in a widget or a wall with one embed code
Each quote shows the reviewer's words exactly as written, the reviewer name as Google Play shows it, the star rating published with the review, the app version and language where the source publishes them, and a link to your app on Google Play.
How it works in four steps
- Add your app. Paste your Google Play link or the app package name.
- Pick languages. Choose the review languages you want, or keep all of them.
- We collect the reviews. We read public listing data that allows it and, if you connect it, the official developer reporting and review exports from your own Play Console account. You never share a password with us.
- You approve and publish. Sort by strength score, filter by version, hide what you do not want and copy the embed code.
After that, new reviews arrive with the refresh of your plan, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
What we keep from every Google Play review
| Field | What the widget can show |
|---|---|
| Quote | The review text exactly as published, or trimmed with a visible ellipsis |
| Author | The reviewer name as Google Play shows it |
| Rating | The star rating published with the review |
| App version | The version the review refers to, when the source publishes it |
| Language and country | The review language, and the country when your export includes it |
| Device | The device type, when your own export includes it |
| Date | The date the review was posted |
| Link | A link to your app on Google Play |
Developer replies are kept with the review in your register, so your team can see the full conversation. The widget shows only the reviewer's words unless you choose to show your reply.
Google Play and App Store side by side
If your app is on both stores, add the App Store reviews widget as a second source. Our review aggregator keeps both stores in one register, and one widget can show the best quotes from each with a store badge. You can also add Reddit threads where people discuss your app, see Reddit testimonials.
Who uses a Google Play reviews widget
- Android first apps that want user words on the landing page and in ads
- App founders and marketers who need the best ten reviews for a launch page, see app testimonials
- Product teams who track praise for a new feature by version
- Studios and agencies that manage store reviews for several apps from one agency workspace
Google Play widget questions
Do I have to connect my Play Console account?
No. You can start with your public listing. Connecting your own Play Console reporting is optional and adds detail that the public listing does not show, such as device and full review history.
Can I show reviews in one language only?
Yes. Each widget has its own language filter, so each language version of your site shows reviews in that language.
Can I leave out reviews about a bug you already fixed?
Yes. Filter by app version or hide any single quote with one click. It disappears from every widget on the next refresh.
Do you reword or translate reviews?
No. Quotes stay in the exact words and language of the reviewer. If you allow trims, every cut is marked with an ellipsis.
How often do new reviews arrive?
Brand refreshes weekly, Growth and Agency daily, White Label every 6 hours. See the pricing page for every limit.
Is TestimonialScraper part of Google Play?
No. TestimonialScraper is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Google Play and other source names are trademarks of their owners.
